Last winter we went to Colorado in the middle of the winter to experience snow. Well, the kids loved it. They didn’t mind one bit that it was 4 degrees outside. They were ready at anytime to get out and about in the wild weather and enjoy the beauty and fun that comes with snow. We stayed just outside Breckenridge in this gorgeous HomeAway and it was a dream. There were places to run around, sled, and of course snowball fight. When we told the kids we were going to Colorado they had a vision of an “epic” snowball fight. So, after a long day of skiing, we ended our day with a snowball fight. It was SO COLD, I think my camera froze. But the kids had an amazing time and it was worth the freezing temps and cold hands.
I grabbed my camera for this, much to my kids dismay, to capture some of the fun.
Here are some of my favorites!
Thanks for stopping by and sharing these memories with me. I love traveling with my family, even if it is little getaways. The kids absolutely love it and I love hearing them share their memories. I hope you enjoyed this.
I forgot how much I loved this lifestyle photography session. I absolutely love when families invite me into their homes and let me photograph them in their element. In this session, with the exception of a few posed shots, I just found the pretty light (and set up some flash) and let the kids play away. These little ones were so creative and fun, there was so much joy.
Lifestyle sessions are some of my favorite, if interested, I would love to provide you with more information.
This is a long post, I couldn’t help myself. Enjoy the sweetness and I look forward to hearing from you!
Your kids are only this little once, and I can assure you as the saying goes, even though the days do feel long, it goes fast. So fast. I would love to come photograph your family in their element and help to create lasting memories from the days when they are teeny. It is such a fun, exhausting, sweet, and loving time and a time to cherish.
Thank you for stopping by and checking this session out. I look forward to connecting with you about your photographs.
What to Expect
If you book a lifestyle photography session, you can expect to have me in your home for a couple hours. It takes me a little time to set up and find the right places that help make your session a success. When I arrive, I will look around your home for good light and places that will photograph well. I will also set up my own off camera flash to help add a little light. Even the best lit home often need a little extra light so that I can photograph the kids moving around a little more easily. From there, let the kids play!
A HUGE thank you to all the wonderful families that came out to the Le San Michele mini-sessions last night. It was absolutely gorgeous, I could not of asked for anything more.
I am now excited to announce the second round of mini-sessions on April 7th at Balcones District Park in North Austin. This park is one of my favorites and is a great, easy spot for gorgeous wildflower photos. I love the light at this park and am so excited to be hosting a round of minis this year.
This session has not been advertised, but is already over half full, so please let me know if you would like a session! You can contact me through the contacts page of my website. I look forward to hearing from you and photographing your gorgeous family. OH and this park is dog friendly, if you want bluebonnet photos of your favorite fur baby, that works too!
Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to connecting with you about photographs. Please contact me via the contacts page of my website. I will host one more round of wildflower mini-sessions in late April, but these will be more wildflower, less bluebonnet.
I love photographing these two boys, I have been photographing them for the last several years and it is always so fun. One of my favorite things is that they are the same age as my boys, and they act just the same. So much silliness and wrestling, it cracks me up. As a mom of two boys, I completely understand the wrestling, hands in face, and tackling that is involved in day to day life. It is always an adventure and I love that aspect of brotherhood.
Anyway, these two brothers are so sweet. There is always a lot of laughter and fun, and I’m glad there is laughter as these two have the best smiles. Enjoy the cuteness from last fall.
I am so excited to kick off my spring mini-sessions this week. If interested, I’ll have a wildflower and bluebonnet mini-session on April 7th at Balcones District Park. If you are looking for a simple way to get into the bluebonnets without driving out of town, this is a great spot. It is simple, has good shade, and is an easy commute. Come join the fun! I look forward to hearing from you and planning your mini-sessions.
I had the opportunity to photograph this sweet friend of mine, and her beautiful family last November. I love this session, because I think we often forget to photograph our older children. I know I pick up my camera a lot less now that my kids are making milestones every month. But, having older children is a unique and special experience as well. I love photographing the big kids. Although they might complain, I think they secretly love photo sessions and being behind the camera.
Enjoy these photos from a mini-session last fall. I love all the love between family members in their photos. I love everything from the hugs to the piggy back rides. So much sweetness.
This mini-session was lots of fun and I would love to start planning your mini-session. Mini-Sessions can be great ways to get some awesome photographs of your family at an affordable price. Mini-Sessions can range from 10-30 minutes, the more time you have, the more flexibility we have with candid photographs.
I am offering two upcoming mini-sessions over the next several weeks. The next one is on March 25th (THIS weekend) and Le San Michele in Buda, TX. The next, will be at a bluebonnet filled location, more within the city limits. I would love to have you join the fun!
I forgot how much I LOVED this session from last fall at Zilker Botanical Gardens in Austin, TX. The Botanical Gardens are always a great place to have photos, and if we have your session in the evening we will catch great light.
I have worked with this little cutie since she was a baby, and I love getting the opportunity to see her grow and change every year. I love her little spunky personality!
I have two upcoming mini-sessions this spring. The first is on March 25th at Le San Michele and the 2nd will be on April 7th, location TBD. Contact me today to reserve your spot!
Let you little one’s personality shine in their photo session. You’ll love the photos if you let your kids be themselves, it can create such joyful sessions. Don’t you just love her smile? So precious.
Even though mini-sessions are short, there is lots of time to run around and be silly. We can get both types of photographs, formal and informal. Let me know what you prefer, so that I can help you with the perfect session. Come laugh, run, play, and love on your little ones, it’ll be fun! Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to hearing from you!
I just adore this Austin Lifestyle Photography Session. This little guy had such a great spirit and was so kind to show me around his world. I loved photographing him as he played, jumped on the bed, ran on the sidewalk, and was loved on by his parents. Such sweetness.
This session was an at home session. There can be a lot of advantages to this type of session. For one, your kids are often more comfortable at your house, in their own environment. Secondly, it is easy to change, snack, take breaks, etc., which always helps the session go smoother. Lastly, we don’t have to be as dependent on the weather or the outside lighting (although we obviously had a gorgeous day in these photos). In home sessions give us a lot more flexibility to settle in and get great shots. The downside, I might have to set up lots of lighting. Every home is different. Sometimes there is enough natural light and sometimes, I need to bring in my own. This session was a combination of natural light and off camera flash photography.
Let’s face it, kids can be challenging during photo sessions. Sometimes taking the time to have your session at home can be a lifesaver. This little man took awhile to warm up to me, but once he did, he was all adventure. I love photographs of kids in their spaces with their things. I feel like it captures a special time of life that is otherwise fleeting. Before we know it, our kids are no longer playing with toys, jumping on beds, and being silly. As we all know, it goes fast. I’m so happy I had the opportunity to capture this sweetness and get some photographs that this family will look back on for years to come. Thank you for stopping by!
This session comes from last fall in the garden at the awesome Texas Keeper Cider in Manchaca, TX. I have known these girls momma since I was a kid, it is always so fun to photograph old friends and see their beautiful children. This particular session was actually a mini-session. We got a lot done in just a little amount of time.
I love the happy faces, and overall silliness and joy from this photo session. I also loved that we visited the garden for these. The colors are so gorgeous. It makes me excited about the upcoming spring season, spring has such beautiful color. Check out upcoming offerings this spring and get your family into the beautiful flowers.
Thank you for stopping by this session in the garden from Texas Keeper Cider. It is always such an honor to photograph these beautiful families at such a beautiful venue. Thank you Texas Keeper Cider for allowing us to use your land.
I just can’t get enough of these. What precious, precious girls.
If you are interested in a spring mini-session PLEASE let me know as soon as possible. The spring calendar is starting to fill up and we need to get everything solidified. I would absolutely love to work with you and your family. If you already did a family session in the fall, try one in the spring. I am offering micro mini at the lovely Le San Michele in Buda Texas this spring. These are 10-minute mini-sessions (or more) and will be awesome opportunities to get into the beautiful color and snag some spring photos.
I am also working on an April 7th mini-session opportunity. Please let me know if your interest. Mini-sessions are typically in the evening or morning, this is to get the best light possible.
